İstanbul-İzmir arasını 3.5 saate indirecek, İstanbul-İzmir Otoyolu'nun 192 kilometrelik kısmı ve Türkiye'nin 10'un şehir hastanesi olan 1.355 yataklı Bursa Şehir Hastanesi'nin açılışı Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan tarafından gerçekleştirildi. Erdoğan, açılışta önemli açıklamalarda bulundu ve Suriye'de Fırat'ın doğusuna operasyon sinyali verirken, "Suriye'deki tehditlerden ülkemizi korurken, Afrin'e girmeyin diye bize gözdağı vermeye çalıştı. Biz Afrin'e girdik, Cerablus'a girdik. Şimdi de Fırat'ın doğusuna gireceğiz" dedi.
